INTERNATIONAL DAY 2025

Students on stage

Every October, our school community comes together to celebrate International Day, a joyful event that highlights diversity and cultural appreciation. This special occasion provides students with meaningful, hands-on learning experiences as they explore cultures from around the world. Through songs and dances, students proudly showcase their chosen countries, gaining a deeper understanding of cultural expression, traditional music, and movement. Each performance reflects the beauty of different traditions and the confidence students develop through active participation.

Following the performances, students and parents take part in a room-to-room cultural tour, where classrooms are transformed into representations of different countries. Students actively research and present information about their chosen nation, learning about its geography, people, language, customs, food, and traditional clothing. By decorating classrooms, creating displays, and preparing interactive activities, students experience learning beyond textbooks, building cultural awareness, collaboration skills, and appreciation for global diversity.

The celebration continues with a lively Food Festival, offering another opportunity for experiential learning. Families contribute traditional dishes, allowing students to connect food with culture and better understand how cuisine reflects history, environment, and traditions. Tasting and sharing food from different countries encourages curiosity, respect, and open-mindedness.

Through these learning experiences, International Day becomes more than a celebration—it is an opportunity for students to engage with the world, develop global awareness, and embrace cultural diversity within our school community.
