Strengthening Our Partnership with the University of Western Australia

This week, we were delighted to welcome Ms. Trinh Ngo, Senior Regional Manager for the University of Western Australia (UWA), one of Australia’s top universities and a proud member of the prestigious Australia's Group of Eight.

Over the past several years, St. Marks Australian International School has been working closely with UWA to introduce valuable opportunities for our students to pursue higher education in Australia. In June last year, our secondary students had the opportunity to visit the UWA campus, where they toured various academic departments and experienced the university’s modern facilities that support 21st-century learning.

We are also delighted to share that one of our 2025 graduates, who achieved an impressive ATAR of 97.05, has been offered an Academic Excellence Scholarship from the University of Western Australia, recognising their outstanding academic performance.

During the visit, both institutions discussed opportunities to further strengthen our partnership. UWA shared that they are actively seeking high-performing AUSMAT graduates to join their undergraduate programs. As admission to UWA is highly competitive, the university carefully selects students who demonstrate strong academic ability and the potential to succeed in a rigorous academic environment. UWA recognises that students from St. Marks Australian International School are of a very high calibre, which is why the university is keen to build a closer relationship with our school.

UWA also highlighted the Global Excellence Scholarship, which offers high-achieving AUSMAT graduates scholarships of up to AUD $12,000 per year for the duration of their degree (up to four years), representing a potential saving of up to AUD $48,000.

In addition, UWA has generously agreed to offer an unconditional scholarship of AUD $5,000 per year to any student graduating from St. Mark's who enrols at the university, regardless of final grades.

This partnership reflects the strong reputation of our AUSMAT program and the high quality of our students. We look forward to seeing more St. Mark’s graduates continuing their academic journeys at leading universities such as UWA, further strengthening the global pathways available to our students.
